Project Summary
As Colorado continues to operationalize its P-20W infrastructure, a heretofore neglected area of emphasis is Adult Education. This use case will be used to start that conversation and begin to explain and expand the needs of this critical group of Students. This project is utilizing de-identified data.
This project seeks to answer a number of questions about adult education. The questions we are looking to answer with our analysis include but are not limited to:
- To what extent do adult learner employment and wages change after participation in adult education programming?
- How long might it take for an adult learner to see improvement in wages?
- How do wages vary depending on the adult learner’s entry educational status?
- How do wages vary depending on the adult learner’s entry employment status?
- How do wages vary depending on the adult learner’s time in adult education programming?
- As an adult going into a program do I see an improvement in my wages?
This work is officially under the name “Colorado RISE (Relevant Information to Strengthen Education) Continuation Project through the CAPTURE, LINK, PROVIDE, and PERFORM outcomes effort” however it is more commonly known as the Colorado Department of Education Statewide Longitudinal Data Systems project or CDE SLDS project.
